India Latest News: Air India Express has come out with a special scheme for traveling to Gulf countries. The airline has announced discount in fares for those passengers who prefer to travel with non-check-in baggage. This special scheme has been named Express Light Fare by the airline company. Passengers traveling from India to UAE are also included in the special scheme.

Air India Express has also given its statement on this scheme. It has been told by the airline that under this scheme, passengers will get freedom from cumbersome lines at counters and baggage belts. This offer is more easy and convenient for those passengers who like to travel on light fares.
In Express Lite fare, a passenger can choose the pre-book option of 3 kg cabin baggage. Apart from this, extra baggage slab of 15 kg to 20 kg can be opted at a very concessional rate. Check in baggage facility will be available at the counter.
Air India Express operates around 340 flights a day.
Air India Express operates more than 340 flights each day. During this period, it provides service to its passengers at about 31 domestic and 14 international airports. The airline operates about 195 flights a week on the India-UAE route. The new scheme is also applicable on the India-UAE route.
Air India Express flights connect most cities of Dubai. About 80 flights operate here in a week. Apart from this, 77 flights operate from India to Sharjah, 31 to Abu Dhabi, 5 to Ras Al Khaimah and 2 to Al Ain.
